on why we don't have a young adult service.
Part of being in a role that has a certain amount of decision making inherent in it is that at most times a segment of the people you work with will disagree with you. That comes with the job. I think that I could say confidently that even on staff there is a range of opinions on how to "do church" - phrase I dislike and could probably become an entire blog post itself. When you get people together there will be disagreement. One of the areas in the young adult ministry at LBC where the most passionate debate takes...

message reflection.
"I rejoice that in everything I have confidence in you." 2 Cor. 7:16 As Bryan spoke yesterday on 2 Corinthians 7, I couldn't help but imagine the relief and sheer joy the Corinthians must have felt upon reading this sentence of Paul's letter. Can't you just imagine the sense of relief that would come upon reading this verse, "For this reason [their obedience] we have been comforted" (v.13)? Paul is pleased with us... might as well let it help you grow.
What is this weekend? And what is my one? Hmm, well that seems to changes with every moment depending on what shiny object my attention is drawn to. But if the question is referring to the "one" that informs all my other "ones" of what their "oneness" means, well, that is a little tricky. That one certainly doesn't change as much, or at least not quite as obviously. It seems to be more of pathos than anything else. It is a gathering of real and perceived understandings of the way things are. It is certainly esoteric and when I consider this "one" I usually have a feeling of dissolution like I am being spread so thin I can't be seen anymore. Oh no, I hate when I do this, use a comment box as if it were my own blog. I am sorry Ryan.
